Your role as an Audit Senior:
- Liaising with more senior members of the team, you will lead audits from planning through to completion for a wide range of clients across London and the surrounding areas.
- Client sectors range from Agriculture, Manufacturing, Media to Retail. These clients are UK subsidiaries of overseas firms, so you'll also have the opportunity to remotely work with clients in Germany, France and Austria.
- Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, including the execution of financial audits. Gain a deep understanding of client industries to identify key risk areas and tailor audit procedures accordingly.
- Oversee and validate group reporting packages prepared by local teams, ensuring alignment with group accounting policies and compliance across different GAAPs (e.g., UK GAAP, IFRS, German GAAP). Liaise with senior auditors to resolve discrepancies in subsidiary reporting.
- Manage and mentor audit associates, providing training and performance feedback during engagements and year-end reviews. Ensure team members understand client objectives, risks, and strategic priorities.
- Proactively identify and assess audit risks, designing and executing appropriate procedures to address them and ensure audit quality.
- Support and mentor more junior members of the team.
What you'll need to succeed:
- You must be ACA/ACCA Part-Qualified or Newly Qualified.
- Preferably with a minimum of 3 years audit experience.
- You will have experience of leading audits from planning to completion.
- Enthusiasm to progress into an Assistant Manager role.
- A good management rapport to mentor the audit team.
- Full rights to work, without requiring sponsorship.
