The role

We are seeking an Account Manager to join our AM Team in the UK. In this role, you will build and nurture long-term, trusted relationships with a portfolio of customers, driving high levels of retention and satisfaction. You will develop a deep understanding of your customers’ goals and objectives, embedding Sedex and our wider offering to deliver value at every stage of their journey.

You will be responsible for achieving additional revenue targets within Sedex’s existing customer base by promoting and selling tools and services beyond standard membership offerings. Acting as the primary point of contact for your accounts, you will collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure a consistently high-quality customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer accounts, ensuring client needs are met and business objectives achieved.

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships as a trusted advisor.

  • Identify and secure growth opportunities, achieving additional revenue targets.

  • Manage the full sales cycle, including pitching, negotiations, and contracts.

  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activity in the CRM.

  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions aligned to customer needs.

  • Forecast renewals, pipeline, and risks accurately.

  • Own and resolve customer issues promptly, balancing customer and business needs.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver opportunities with high customer satisfaction.

  • Manage renewals and contract negotiations in line with internal processes.

  • Promote new tools, services, and events across your customer base.

  • Continuously seek ways to improve processes and the customer journey.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

4+ years’ experience in account management or sales.

· Proven track record of growing accounts and exceeding targets.

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.

· Strong pipeline management and full sales cycle experience.

· Excellent relationship-building skills, including with senior stakeholders.

· Customer-focused, innovative, and solutions-oriented.

· Strong analytical, organisational, and prioritisation skills.

· Clear and adaptable communication style, with strong presentation skills.

· High attention to detail.

· Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and ideally Gainsight.

· Knowledge of SaaS, procurement systems, or responsible sourcing is a plus.
