SALARY: £85,000 - £100,000 (DOE) THE ROLE:
An established and highly regarded team is seeking a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to undertake a defendant caseload acting primarily on behalf of NHS Resolution. You will handle a range of clinical negligence matters, supporting healthcare providers in the defence of claims from initial instruction through to resolution. The role will involve managing your own caseload of claims, working closely with senior lawyers on more complex matters, and liaising with medical experts, clients and other stakeholders. You will be involved in investigating claims, preparing case strategies, drafting pleadings and advising on liability, causation and quantum. The position offers exposure to high-value and sensitive matters within a structured and supportive team environment. THE CANDIDATE:
The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with between two and six years’ post-qualification experience in clinical negligence work, ideally with exposure to defendant matters. You will demonstrate strong technical ability, attention to detail and a methodical approach to case management. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with clients and experts. A proactive and organised approach, combined with the ability to manage competing priorities, will be essential. Experience of NHS Resolution work would be advantageous but is not essential.
