Our client is a successful and growing M&E contractor based in Kent. With a portfolio spanning residential towers, high-end housing, luxury amenities, cinemas, and spa developments , they have established a strong reputation for technical excellence and successful project delivery across London and the South East.
The Project
This role is focused on a £17m high-rise residential project in Wandsworth , delivering a 35-storey building with premium apartments and leisure facilities . With a 92-week programme , this scheme is a flagship project and offers the chance to lead the full M&E delivery from pre-construction through to completion.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Project Manager to take full ownership of M&E project delivery. Reporting to senior directors, you will manage planning, coordination, site supervision, and financial control of all M&E packages. This is a key leadership role requiring both technical expertise and strong commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the full M&E delivery on site, ensuring programme, budget, and quality targets are achieved.
Oversee subcontractors, supervisors, and site teams across both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
Drive progress against programme, resolving issues proactively and reporting to senior management.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards.
Manage procurement, material scheduling, and supply chain performance.
Liaise with design teams, consultants, and client representatives.
Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of all M&E systems.
Control financial reporting, valuations, and cost management on the project.
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience as a Project Manager within the M&E contracting sector.
Strong track record delivering large-scale residential or mixed-use projects (ideally £10m+).
Comprehensive technical knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems .
Recognised qualifications in building services or engineering (HNC/HND or higher).
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and subcontractors.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to oversee multiple teams and maintain client confidence throughout project delivery.
Package
Permanent: Up to £80,000 per annum (depending on experience) + benefits.
Contract: Competitive day/hourly rate available.
