A successful secondary school in Lewisham is seeking an HR Officer to join its support team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to work within education and play a key role in supporting recruitment, compliance, and employee relations.

This mixed secondary school educates approximately 1,250 students aged 11–18 and serves a diverse local community. The school has invested significantly in staff wellbeing and professional development and is known for its positive culture and strong staff retention.

The Role
Managing recruitment and onboarding processes
Coordinating safeguarding and compliance checks
Maintaining HR systems and personnel records
Supporting absence management processes
Assisting with employee relations matters
Acting as a first point of contact for HR enquiries
Requirements
Applicants should have:
Previous HR experience
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality
The legal right to work in the UK
Salary, Hours & Benefits
£36,000 – £41,000 per annum
12-month maternity cover
Full-time
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
ASAP start
