Job summary
The Care Assistant will play a vital role within the Nursing team at Stella & Harry Freedman House, part of the Betty and Asher Loftus Centre in Friern Barnet. Working an average of 38.5 hours per week on a two-week rolling rota, with 12-hour day shifts from 8am8pm and some weekends, the postholder will provide person-centred support to residents with a range of care needs. The role includes assisting with personal care and daily routines, providing companionship and emotional support, supporting meals and activities, and promoting independence, choice and dignity. You will build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues and contribute to a supportive team environment where residents feel safe, respected and valued. Previous care experience is not required, with full training and ongoing support provided.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a kind, patient and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Stella & Harry Freedman House in Friern Barnet. You will build meaningful relationships with residents and provide the practical and emotional support they need to live well each day. Your role will include personal care, daily routines, mealtimes, activities and companionship, while promoting independence, choice and dignity. You will work closely with colleagues, residents and families to create a warm and supportive environment where people feel safe, respected and valued. No previous care experience is required as full training and ongoing support are provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who is reliable, enjoys working as part of a team and is passionate about helping others.

Working pattern
Youll work on a two-week rolling rota:
Week 1: 4 days Week 2: 2 days 12-hour shifts (8am8pm), including some weekends Average of 38.5 hours per week
