Facilities Co-ordinator
About this Role
The National Education Union is a force for change in the world of education, bringing together more than 450,000 teachers, lecturers, support staff and leaders working in maintained and independent schools and colleges across the UK.
We are now seeking to recruit a Facilities Co-ordinator to assist the Facilities Manager (deputising when necessary) in providing comprehensive services for the smooth running of Hamilton House so that occupiers of the premises may operate in a healthy and safe environment with minimum disruption.
You will also assist with the management and allocation of tasks in the Facilities PPM tracker, ensure requests are prioritised and met in a timely manner as well as co-ordinating access for contractors to the building, obtain risk assessments and method statements for review and issue permits for work. You will also co-ordinate procurement for the Facilities Team, source suitable suppliers to obtain best value.
Prospective applicants will need to have previous experience and knowledge of Facilities Management work, being able to use their initiative within agreed parameters (please see role description for more info). Applicants are also advised that due to the nature of the work, the role is fully office based.
In addition to salary, we offer good conditions including 33 days’ annual leave plus Christmas closure days and a defined benefit pension scheme. Salary and benefits are pro-rata for part-time applicants.
