Charge Rate: £17.00 per hour

Role: Class 2 HGV Driver

We are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers to join a busy and well-established waste management operation based in Woolwich.

The role involves working on the offensive waste collection side, carrying out refuse removal and waste collection services for commercial customers.

The Role

Driving a Class 2 HGV as part of a commercial waste collection operation

*

Collecting and removing offensive waste from customer sites

*

Carrying out refuse removal and waste collection routes

*

Visiting multiple commercial customer locations throughout the day

*

Working safely and efficiently in line with company procedures

*

Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and safe

*

Following allocated routes and collection schedules

*

Providing a professional service when dealing with customers

*

Typically working around 8-hour days

♻️ The Work

This is a hands-on commercial waste collection role, so drivers must be comfortable working in a refuse and waste environment and carrying out regular manual handling.

Previous experience in waste collection, refuse removal, HGV driving or similar work would be advantageous, although relevant Class 2 driving experience will be considered.

✅ Requirements

Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence

Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph

Previous Class 2 driving experience

*

Comfortable working in a hands-on waste/refuse environment

Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling

*

Reliable, punctual and professional

*

Good customer service skills

*

Able to follow routes, schedules and company procedures

*

Good knowledge of UK roads
