Senior Site Manager – Refurbishment & Fit Out – Bishopsgate Central London

Salary/Package: £75,000 – £85,000 + Package

O’Neill & Brennan are currently working with a highly established fit-out contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their team, working on a prestigious refurbishment and fit-out project in the Bishopsgate area of Central London.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable contractor delivering a high-profile project in one of London’s most sought-after commercial locations. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the delivery of the project from site, working closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, consultants and wider site team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial refurbishment and fit-out, with experience managing complex projects within Central London and a strong understanding of high-quality finishes, sequencing and programme management.

Start: ASAP, but willing to wait for the right candidate

Responsibilities

Managing the day-to-day delivery of the project on site
Taking responsibility for site operations, sequencing and short-term programming
Managing and coordinating subcontractors, trades and site teams
Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards
Managing refurbishment and fit-out activities from enabling works through to completion
Coordinating MEP, structural, architectural and finishing packages
Monitoring progress against programme and identifying potential delays
Conducting regular site inspections and ensuring high standards of workmanship
Ensuring drawings, specifications and construction information are being followed
Maintaining strong health & safety standards across the site
Liaising with the Project Manager, design team, consultants and subcontractors
Attending site meetings and providing regular progress updates
Managing snagging, quality control and the successful handover of works
Identifying and resolving site-based issues efficiently to maintain programme

Requirements

Proven experience working as a Senior Site Manager within a main contracting environment
Strong refurbishment and fit-out experience
Experience delivering commercial projects within Central London
Strong understanding of construction sequencing and programme management
Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades
Excellent knowledge of construction processes, quality control and health & safety
Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
Ability to manage a project effectively from site through to completion
SMSTS essential
CSCS and First Aid desirable
Previous experience working on high-end commercial refurbishment or fit-out projects advantageous
