Graduate 1:1 Support Worker – SEN School
Location: Merton, South West London
Role: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–15:30pm
Salary: £500–£600 per week
Start Date: ASAP

Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate for this Graduate 1:1 Support Worker role will have:
- A recent 2:1 or higher degree in Psychology, Education, Special Educational Needs, Childhood Studies, or a related discipline
- A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
- Patience, empathy and resilience in working with students who may face social, emotional or behavioural challenges
- A desire to build experience for a career in SEN teaching, therapy or psychology
- Experience with children or young people (advantageous but not essential)
The Role
As a Graduate 1:1 Support Worker , you will play a crucial role in the personal and academic development of students with additional needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with specific learning or emotional needs
- Assisting children with ASD and communication challenges to develop confidence and independence
- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs using positive behaviour strategies
- Working closely with the SENCO, class teachers and external professionals to deliver tailored interventions
- Developing an understanding of EHCPs, adaptive teaching and inclusive classroom practices
