Job Introduction
We’re looking for an Evening Cleaner in London to help maintain a spotless, welcoming environment for our clients and colleagues. In this role, you’ll take pride in keeping all areas to a high standard, working through daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cleaning schedules with care and attention to detail. You’ll also play an important part in supporting a safe workplace by following Sodexo Health & Safety regulations and helping ensure your team does the same. If you’re reliable, thorough, and enjoy creating clean, well-kept spaces, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out all cleaning tasks as directed, following scheduled duties and company cleaning methods (including colour-coding).
- Adhere to all site policies and health & safety requirements, including COSHH, and use the correct PPE, equipment, and warning signs.
- Maintain tidy and hazard-free cleaning areas, including cupboards, loading bays, and waste/bin areas, and complete waste collection as assigned.
- Report equipment faults, maintenance issues, near misses, and any health & safety concerns to your supervisor/manager.
- Attend team meetings and training, and maintain a professional, courteous approach when interacting with staff, clients, and visitors.
What We’re Looking For:
- Cleaning experience and use of cleaning equipment are welcome but not essential; basic hygiene knowledge required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and willing to take on ad-hoc tasks when needed.
- Self-motivated with a positive, proactive attitude.
- Committed to delivering excellent service at all times.
