Estimating Management Higher Level Apprenticeship
As an Estimating Management Trainee at Wates, you’ll be given the fantastic opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders across the business, developing your commercial knowledge relating to cost estimating and cost planning for work winning. Learning to review and analyse information that relates to preparing and writing cost plans and estimates, you’ll prioritise cost effectiveness and best working practices.
What you will do
- Assist in producing cost plans and estimates for the bidding process of new projects.
- Produce customer focussed responses and strategies for bid submissions, tailoring each response to the specific needs of each customer.
- Compile electronic submissions of work, ensuring process is followed and necessary steps are taken.
- Collaborate and engage with colleague and networks to develop your understanding of their area of work and responsibility.

Entry requirements
- You must have achieved grade 4/C or above in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
- You must have obtained or be working towards a minimum of 2 A-Levels at grade D or above, or an equivalent qualification, such as: Level 3 NVQ. BTEC. T-Level. Or other comparable Level 3 qualifications.
Programme Duration
This is a 3-year apprenticeship programme, combining practical experience with formal training. You’ll work towards a Level 4 qualification while gaining hands-on experience in the industry.
