Assistant Accommodation Manager

£30,349 - £31,946 per annum

35 hours per week

The Assistant Accommodation Manager will join our team based in London. This is an exciting role to support the team, which is made up of 9 other people. We provide accommodation for students at City St George’s University, there will be the occasional lone working, however there is always someone around to support.

We’re looking for a professional individual who is a team player and used to working in a fast-paced environment with experience in a similar role. Being self-motivated and able to use your own initiative is crucial. An individual that wants to learn new skills and can relate to Sanctuary’s values is important.

The role of Assistant Accommodation Manager will include:

  • Providing quality customer service to customers, staffing reception, welcoming customers and providing a great first impression
  • Communicating with customers, colleagues and contractors via emails, Teams, phone calls and face to face
  • Dealing with queries ensuring they are dealt with in a professional and timely manner
  • Admin such as managing post, tracking, reporting and escalation of repairs, bookings on KX, SAP procurement, site and block inspections, supporting with compliance on site
  • Line managing a team of General Assistants on various tasks such as cleaning of communal areas, daily service cleans and hotel style changeover of accommodation on a daily basis
  • Allocating tasks and managing work loads of General Assistants to prioritise the needs of the business
  • Finance tasks such as processing rent payments, invoices and raising purchase orders
  • Working with other Assistant Accommodation Managers on day to day operations. Health & Safety and facilities management of the building
  • Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external customers
  • Liaison with Stakeholders, managing and reporting or logging of repairs

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of supporting the delivery of high-quality accommodation operations or customer service is essential
  • Some experience of managing staff and providing administrative support to the wider team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Previous experience of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook able to work on their own initiative. Experience working with KX, SAP, Communications would be helpful.
