Salary: £46,350 + Service Charge (expected £7,000 per annum)
The Opportunity
Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an enthusiastic Head Chef to join our Great Scotland Yard team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the culinary team in delivering exceptional food quality, consistency, and creativity while ensuring cost control, food safety, and compliance with company standards.
This role combines leadership, operational management, and culinary expertise to maintain and enhance the reputation of the food & beverage operation You will be part of a team that is passionate about our purpose, committed to nurturing curiosity and new skills, and building connections across the organisation with colleagues, customers, and guests.
Oversee and ensure an exceptional dining experience across multiple outlets, including The Yard Breakfast, The Parlour , Forty Elephants, Sibin, and Grace & Favour.
Manage food costs in line with the approved budget and overall hotel business plan.
Support the preparation of the Annual Business Plan and assist with monthly revenue and expense reforecasting.
Supervise and guide colleagues within the department, ensuring service standards and procedures outlined in the Departmental Operations Manual are consistently maintained.
Train, coach, and mentor culinary colleagues, developing their skills to perform duties productively while fostering high levels of engagement.
Stay up to date with seasonal trends and new products available in the market to enhance menu offerings.
Maximise team productivity through multi-skilling, multi-tasking, and flexible scheduling practices to achieve departmental financial goals while exceeding guest expectations
