Senior Mechanical Engineer
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking design team working for a well established Building Services Consultancy. The ideal candidate will be confident working across disciplines, contributing to innovative, sustainable engineering solutions in sectors such as commercial offices, high-end residential and student accommodation. You’ll be using cutting-edge design tools and analysis software to deliver high-quality, accurate project information within agreed budgets and timeframes. Key responsibilities: * Lead detailed engineering design for building services, including calculations, drawings, schematics, models, and specifications. * Collaborate closely with architects, design teams, clients, and stakeholders, acting as a main point of contact. * Manage projects from concept through to post-construction. * Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and best practices. * Provide technical expertise, review designs, and support the development of junior team members. * Represent the business professionally and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders. Requirements: * Minimum of 8 years’ experience in mechanical design engineering. * Strong technical knowledge and hands-on design experience. * Project management experience is highly advantageous. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Commitment to continuous professional development.
