Rotananny

This is a Rota nanny role. The family are looking for a kind, fun and energetic nanny, who would like a long term, role looking with a family who have 3 children however the focus is mainly on the youngest child; B4, G9.5 and B12.5. All the children are in full time nursery and school – the nanny will have sole charge with some shared care of the children outside of school and nursery hours and during the school holidays. Mum is hands on and may be around in mornings and evenings to help and work collaboratively with the nanny. The family tends to travel most school holidays and the nanny is required to accompany the family.

The suitable candidate will have experience working with pre-school and school age children. The right fit is someone who ideally has French as a first language, someone who is degree educated and has ideally as a live-in nanny before or has worked long hours and can demonstrate that Rota hours would be suitable – someone who has a genuine love for children and who can help them reach their developmental milestones in a fun, engaging way. The role will suit someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, someone who is naturally outdoorsy, active and energetic.

The role involves lots of organising and planning related to the children. The nanny should be a self-starter who can take initiative but who is also happy to take direction. It is important for the nanny to continue to maintain routines including mealtime, bathtime and bedtime. The children all have tutors and do different activities and sports – the nanny needs to help to make sure that everything flows smoothly ensuring the children are prepared and ready for their respective activities or lessons, that they are picked up and dropped off as needed. The family employ a part time driver however; it would be a bonus if the nanny was a confident driver as this would be helpful taking/collecting to and from activities.

The right candidate needs to ensure school bags are packed and manage the children’s wardrobes ensuring any clothes that are outgrown are packed away and replenished. The nanny is also responsible for buying and wrapping birthday presents for the children’s birthday parties. The nanny should be happy to help with educational games and age-appropriate creative activities.
The right candidate must have an up to date DBS. First Aid, Fluent French, Excellent English. Excellent references.

• Getting the children ready in the morning
• School runs
• Simple cooking for children
• Great communicator - liaising with housekeepers, driver, tutors etc
• Reading to the children
• Supporting with homework

• Accompanying to playgroup activities
• Taking the children to parks, playgrounds, museums and galleries
• Encouraging the children’s learning and development through different activities
• Ensuring play areas are tidy and toys have been put away
• Sorting out the children’s laundry and wardrobes
• Teaching kindness and good manners
