Note: While you’ll start in a specific team, client-facing roles naturally evolve over time, offering the chance to work with different clients, teams and sectors across Mace Consult as projects and priorities change.
What you’ll do
In Project Controls, you will play a key role in supporting Project Management Office (PMO) and Project Controls teams to implement and deliver a wide range of PMO and Project Controls services to support assigned projects. Some of your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting administration of PMO and Project Controls process on a project operating under supervision and mentorship of more senior professionals assigned to that commission
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly reports as required
- Contributing to the facilitation and delivery of performance reporting and reviews
- Assisting in the development of PMO and Project controls methodologies, such as Earned Value Management
- Contributing to the delivery of all PMO and Planning disciplines, such as Risk Management and Planning
- Supporting to ensure that all PMO and Project Controls activity is aligned to the Mace Control Centre
You will also work towards completing a five-year Level 6 Project Controls Professional apprenticeship, where you’ll achieve a BSc (Hons) Global Degree in Project Controls. We'll also support you in gaining professional membership of an association relevant to your role.

About you
- A minimum of 96 UCAS points
- 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications)
Given the nature of our work, flexibility is key. Our projects and clients are based in various locations, so you should be prepared to travel frequently to different project sites or Mace Consult offices. A positive and adaptable approach to travel is therefore essential, as it may be a regular part of your role. To support this, Mace Consult offers travel expense reimbursements for business travel, including mileage, public transport fares, and, where necessary, accommodation.
