Lead Engineer
- Act as the main point of contact for technical matters relating to a product line or project.
- Support new customer development and contribute technical insight to costings and proposals.
- Review and validate customer specifications, ensuring all engineering requirements are met.
- Oversee and escalate technical issues across departments.
- Lead technical projects from concept through to delivery, including business case development, risk management, scheduling, and milestone tracking.
- Collaborate with internal and international teams to share best practices, transfer technology, and enhance engineering processes.
- Maintain and grow technical knowledge on current, legacy, and future landing gear systems.

- Degree qualified in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering (other Mechanical Engineering disciplines considered) or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven experience leading technical projects in the aerospace sector, ideally in an aircraft MRO environment.
- Strong knowledge of landing gear systems with the ability to analyse and interpret technical data.
- Familiarity with AMM / IPC / CMM documentation and MRP/SERP systems (e.g., SAP, AMOS).
- Understanding of EASA regulations (21J / 21G / 145).
- Excellent communication skills, able to liaise confidently with both technical teams and customers.
- Project management skills (formal qualifications such as Prince2 or PMP desirable).
- LEAN knowledge desirable.
- Additional language skills (German/French) beneficial but not essential.
- Office-based near Heathrow with hybrid working policy.
- Occasional travel may be required.
