HR Assistant Role in a Good All-Through School
A Good All-Through School in Brent is seeking to appoint a professional and organised HR Assistant to join its friendly support staff team. About the Role
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support across all areas of Human Resources, helping to ensure recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and employee records are managed accurately and efficiently.
Working closely with the HR Manager and School Business Manager, you will coordinate recruitment campaigns, organise interviews, complete safer recruitment checks, prepare contracts and employment documentation, maintain confidential personnel files, and respond to routine HR enquiries.
This role would suit an organised and proactive individual looking to develop a career within Human Resources in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support for all HR activities
Assist with recruitment, interviews, and onboarding processes
Coordinate safer recruitment and pre-employment checks
Prepare contracts, offer letters, and HR correspondence
Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records
Monitor staff training and compliance records
Support absence monitoring and HR reporting
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, safeguarding, and GDPR requirements

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in an HR, administration, or office support role
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Desirable
Experience working within a school or educational environment
Knowledge of safer recruitment and employment legislation
CIPD Level 3 qualification or willingness to work towards one
Experience using HR information systems or school management software
