Senior Associate - Business Services (Mandarin/Cantonese desirable)

I'm currently partnered with a highly respected mid-sized accountancy practice that's growing its Business Services team in the City. They're looking for a Senior Associate / Accounts Senior to join their expanding department.

This is a mixed role where you'll be splitting your time between year-end accounts, management accounts, VAT returns and tax computations . You'll be working in close-knit teams, gaining direct client exposure, and handling a varied portfolio of SMEs, LLPs, partnerships, and sole traders.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing year-end and management accounts
• Producing draft accounts and tax computations (finalisation handled by the tax team)
• Preparing VAT returns
• Supervising and mentoring juniors where required
• Working directly with clients and supporting business development initiatives

✅ Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with strong UK practice background
• Confident across the full accounts preparation process
• Proficient with accounting software (Sage/QuickBooks essential; CCH/Pro-Audit/Excel desirable)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Mandarin and/or Cantonese speaking is highly advantageous given the firm's growing Chinese client base
