History Teacher – Community-focused and academically driven secondary school – Tower Hamlets
We are currently seeking a passionate and reflective History Teacher to join a secondary school in Tower Hamlets with a strong sense of community and academic ambition. This permanent, full-time position begins in January 2026 and is ideal for teachers who thrive in collaborative environments with high student engagement.

You will teach History from Year 7 through to Year 11, with the opportunity to step up into KS5 for the right candidate. The History department holds a curriculum that explores power, identity, empire and global conflict. The department places a strong focus on historical literacy, critical thinking, and source analysis. You’ll have the chance to lead enrichment projects, run a historical film club, or develop local history units through partnerships with museums and archives.
Experience and Qualifications
- Qualified History Teacher with QTS
- Track record of strong teaching at KS3/KS4/KS5
- A creative and critical approach to curriculum development
- Legal right to work in the UK
