A welcoming primary school in the London Borough of Enfield is seeking an experienced and proactive Premises Manager to oversee the management of its buildings and grounds. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong facilities management experience who enjoys leading a team while ensuring pupils and staff benefit from a safe, secure and well-maintained learning environment.
Working closely with the Headteacher and School Business Manager, you will take responsibility for the daily operation of the school site, managing maintenance programmes, health and safety compliance and future site improvement projects. The successful candidate will be organised, practical and committed to maintaining the highest standards across every aspect of the school premises.

Premises Team
The Premises Team is responsible for ensuring the school site remains safe, compliant and fully operational throughout the year.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing the daily operation of the school site.
Leading the premises and cleaning teams.
Coordinating planned and reactive maintenance.
Managing contractors and external service providers.
Overseeing statutory compliance checks.
Maintaining health and safety procedures.
Monitoring fire safety systems and emergency procedures.
Preparing facilities for school events and community lettings.
Managing premises budgets and quotations.
Maintaining compliance records and site documentation.
Planning future maintenance and improvement projects.
Ensuring the school environment remains safe, secure and welcoming.

Requirements
Previous premises or facilities management experience.
Experience leading a team.
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
Good practical maintenance knowledge.

Ability to manage contractors and budgets.
Professional and proactive approach.
Commitment to safeguarding.
