The role will help to maximise the online commercial performance using a variety of data sources including web analytics, data on traffic, conversion and order value to drive insights, actions and measurable improvements.
As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:
• Provide regular analysis of the drivers of ecommerce trading performance, traffic acquisition, conversion rates, funnel progression and sales.
• Working closely with Trading Managers and Commercial Squads to understand business requirements from stakeholders across the online trading and performance marketing teams, and providing analytics solutions, for example, through dashboards.
• Support the production insights that are easily understood by an audience with a wide range of data/analytics understanding, creating powerful stories to influence decisions.
• Provide daily / weekly trading reporting & analysis; turning this into actionable insight
• Develop and maintain create competitor reporting and benchmarking, ensuring visibility to key stakeholders or any risk and/or opportunities.
• Develop and manage a suite of trading reports, ensuring they are clear, accurate and fit for purpose.
• Identify and define requirements to combine multiple data sources and use big data tools to gain a holistic view of customers and their behaviours.
The role works closely with commercial squads, marketing and other Digital colleagues to drive the category performance in line with the strategy and support in managing the day-to-day trading of the Currys website.
You will need:
• Advanced numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to use multiple data sources, solve complex problems, identify causation and deliver insightful and practical solutions.
• Proficiency with website analytics software such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
• Experience with PowerBI or other visualization tools.
• The ability to understand stakeholder requirements and motivations and turn them into meaningful information.
• Strong ability to communicate insights in a clear, concise and powerful manner both verbally and in writing, pitching to varying levels of leadership, understanding and business acumen.
• Excellent attention to detail, both in analysis and in communication.
• A natural curiosity to dig into problems and an eagerness to learn new skills.
• Excellent SQL skills, particularly with Google BigQuery and Azure Synapse.
• Experience of eCommerce / Digital Analytics, preferably gained with an online retailer
