HR Assistant | Part-Time | Permanent | Brent
A well-established and highly regarded school in Brent is seeking a professional and organised HR Assistant to join its support team on a permanent, part-time basis from 11 August 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build broad HR experience within a busy school environment. You'll support the full employee lifecycle, working closely with colleagues across the organisation and handling a varied mix of recruitment, compliance, payroll and general HR administration.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting recruitment from initial planning through to interview coordination
Managing new starter administration and pre-employment checks
Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date Single Central Register
Preparing information and documentation for monthly payroll
Supporting staff inductions, probation and exit processes
Assisting with HR expenses, invoices and general administration
Preparing HR reports, including spreadsheets and data analysis
Maintaining appraisal, observation and employee records
Supporting CPD administration, including training bookings and record keeping
Responding to HR queries and directing enquiries appropriately
About You
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, dependable and able to manage confidential information with complete discretion.
You'll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines. CIPD Level 3 or a degree in Law or Business would be advantageous.
Strong IT skills are important, particularly experience with Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace and spreadsheets . French language skills would also be a valuable advantage.
