MOT Tester Role Overview

As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for performing thorough MOT assessments on Mercedes-Benz vehicles, ensuring compliance with national safety standards. You play a crucial role in maintaining customer confidence in vehicle safety and reliability.

You will be required to work 40 hrs per week - Monday to Friday 8:30am til 5pm and Saturdays on a rota basis (approx.1 in 4) 8am til 2pm

Key Responsibilities as an MOT Tester

• Conduct comprehensive MOT tests,
• Complete a comprehensive VHC and accompanying video of defects identified
• Document and report all findings accurately, maintaining records required by the DVSA.
• Collaborate with mechanics and other technical staff to resolve any identified issues in a timely manner.
• Stay updated with the latest MOT testing regulations and vehicle technologies, regularly update MOT Club records to maintain dealer required DVSA standards.

Essential Qualities for the Ideal Candidate

• Valid DVSA MOT Tester qualification with proven experience in vehicle testing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with colleagues and customers.
• Valid UK Drivers Licence
