SEN Teaching Assistant - Newham
Location: Newham Salary: £90 - £105 per day Start Date: ASAP Working Hours: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm (Monday to Friday) Contract: Long-term | Full-time Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs?

We are looking for a committed, proactive, and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs , including ADHD and self-harming behaviours . You'll play a vital role in delivering personalised learning and care in a school that prioritises student wellbeing and inclusion. Key Responsibilities: ✅ Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional needs ✅ Assist across Key Stages 1 and 2 based on student support requirements ✅ Implement tailored behaviour and learning plans with guidance from the SENCO ✅ Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment ✅ Support pupils with personal care , including nappy changing, when required ✅ Build trusting relationships to foster confidence and independence What We're Looking For: Previous experience in a SEN support role (preferred) Confidence in handling personal care needs with dignity and sensitivity Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills A positive, resilient, and flexible approach to behaviour management Relevant qualifications in SEN, Childcare, or Education (desirable) A firm understanding of safeguarding and child protection (essential) Why Join This School?
