A successful secondary school in Richmond is looking to appoint an exceptional Office Manager to oversee the daily running of its busy front office and administrative function.
This is an opportunity for an experienced administrator to take ownership of a high-performing office, lead a dedicated support team, and play a vital role in the smooth operation of the entire school. You'll work closely with senior leaders while becoming the first point of contact for students, families, staff and visitors.

The Role
As Office Manager, you'll ensure the school office operates efficiently, professionally and with outstanding customer service. You'll coordinate administrative systems, supervise office workflows and support the Senior Leadership Team with the day-to-day operational needs of the school.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the daily operation of the school office and reception
Managing and prioritising administrative workloads across the team
Supporting the Senior Leadership Team with high-level administration
Acting as the main point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies
Overseeing emails, correspondence, telephone enquiries and reception services
Maintaining accurate pupil records and school databases
Coordinating meetings, appointments and visitor schedules
Supporting admissions, attendance and wider student administration
Producing professional letters, reports and confidential documentation
Developing efficient office procedures and improving administrative systems
Ensuring GDPR, safeguarding and confidentiality standards are consistently met
Supporting school events, staff induction and operational projects throughout the year
About You
We're looking for someone who combines excellent organisational skills with confident leadership and outstanding communication.
You'll ideally have:
Previous experience as an Office Manager, Senior Administrator or School Administrator
Experience leading or coordinating an administrative team
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and electronic record systems
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Outstanding written and verbal communication
The ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
A professional, approachable and solution-focused attitude
Experience within a school setting is desirable, but strong candidates from other sectors are encouraged to apply
