About us

The Kings Health Partners Clinical Trials Office is a collaboration between Kings College London, Guys & St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust, Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. It was set up to provide a single interface for those wishing to conduct clinical trials within the Partner Organisations, and to ensure that there are common, efficient processes for the set up and administration of clinical trials.

About the role

The post-holder will provide administrative support to the KHP-CTO by:

  • Facilitating the collection and preparation of documentation for modifications to clinical trials
  • Managing the modification requests received via a shared inbox
  • Assisting in maintaining clinical trial records for the Partner Organisations
  • Uploading documents to the KHP-CTOs research management system (EDGE) and performing document quality checks
  • Developing and maintaining an understanding of the prevailing regulations, guidance, best practices, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) with respect to the conduct of clinical trials

This is a full-time (35 hours per week) post and you will be offered an indefinite contract. Were looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

1. Educated to GCSE-level or equivalent

2. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse, multicultural environment

3. Strong planning and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks

4. Excellent interpersonal skills tactful and able to deal with a wide range of people in an enthusiastic and helpful manner, while being capable of firmly maintaining policies and regulations

5. Problem solving skills pragmatic and flexible approach while maintaining policies and regulations

6. Strong computer skills - proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and web-based applications

7. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to self-edit, proofread and quality-check own work to ensure accuracy and completeness

8. Maintains a professional demeanour at all times, demonstrating appropriate conduct, communication, discretion, judgement and interpersonal awareness

Desirable criteria

1. Experience in administrative role(s), preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or a clinical research setting

2. Training in Good Clinical Practice
