About the Role
We’re looking for a strategic, commercially minded Account Manager to join our Global Content Team, a team that sits at the very heart of Readly’s business.
In this high-impact role, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio spanning half of the UK market and our entire US portfolio, working with some of the world’s most prestigious publishers. Your remit goes far beyond relationship management: you’ll be driving growth, leading contract negotiations, onboarding new publishers and ensuring Readly remains at the cutting edge of digital publishing.
With a particular focus on bringing national UK newspapers and international news brands onto the platform, this role is a cornerstone of our global strategy. You’ll act as a trusted partner to publishers, a visible ambassador for Readly and a key driver of our commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and grow publisher partnerships: act as the primary point of contact, building deep, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
Drive commercial success: negotiate and manage contracts to deliver long-term, mutually rewarding agreements.
Unlock growth opportunities: analyse performance, optimise results and identify new ways to increase revenue and readership.
Expand our portfolio: pitch, negotiate and onboard new publishers, with a particular focus on national newspapers and international news brands.
Champion Readly in the industry: represent us at market meetings, task forces and events to strengthen our voice and visibility.
Work across teams: partner with Marketing, Product, Editorial and Data colleagues to create seamless and impactful publisher experiences.
Keep a sharp eye on performance: track and manage key metrics including retention, revenue, readership, and subscriber growth.
Bring market insight to the table: monitor trends and turn them into actionable strategies that benefit both publishers and Readly.
What We’re Looking For
Experience in account management, business development, sales or partnerships (media/publishing preferred but not essential).
Strong sales and negotiation skills , with a track record of delivering commercial outcomes.
Excellent presentation and communication skills , confident with senior stakeholders.
Highly organised and proactive , able to juggle multiple markets and priorities.
A genuine interest in media, news and digital publishing .
Fluent/native English (additional languages are a plus).
Flexibility to travel in the UK and internationally when required.
Why Work With Us
At Readly, you’ll be joining a team that sits at the very heart of the business, managing some of our most high-profile publisher relationships and driving growth in two of our most important markets. We’re passionate about what we do and we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us.
Here’s what you can expect:
Impact: Take ownership of flagship accounts and play a central role in shaping Readly’s global publishing strategy.
International travel: Opportunities to visit our offices in Stockholm and Berlin, plus inspiring company away days.
Everyday perks: Free barista coffee in our London office to keep ideas flowing.
Flexibility: Hybrid working with two days in the office, giving you the balance you need.
Wellness and benefits: Competitive salary, yearly wellness allowance, 25 days holiday, plus your birthday off.
Growth: Learn from and collaborate with an experienced, international team while making your mark on a fast-scaling business.
