Senior Service Charge Accountant

Are you detail-oriented and confident working with complex financial data? We’re looking for a Senior Service Charge Accountant to join our team and play a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant service charge accounts across a diverse property portfolio.

What you’ll be doing:

• Overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Service Charge team, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all outputs

• Managing and reviewing live service charge working files and trackers

• Preparing annual service charge reconciliations in line with RICS guidelines and lease terms

• Supporting quarterly actual vs. budget reviews and advising on forward funding concerns

• Collaborating with property managers to resolve financial queries and explain variances

• Producing weekly reports and supporting internal and external audits

• Leading on accruals, prepayments, and journal adjustments related to service charge activity

What you’ll bring:

• Extensive experience in service charge accounting across commercial and/or residential property

• Great understanding of RICS Service Charge Code and lease compliance

• Proficiency in property management systems such as Horizon or Voyager (or similar)

• Excellent analytical and reporting skills with a high level of attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Experience leading or mentoring a team

• Confident communicator who can collaborate effectively with stakeholders across finance and property teams

• A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
