Push Gaming is a dynamic and innovative game development studio specialising in creating top-quality, mobile-optimised online casino games. With a passion for gaming and a commitment to pushing boundaries, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional player experiences worldwide.
We are seeking an experienced Head of Game Development to lead, scale, and inspire our game development function. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for technical excellence, delivery, team growth, and the long-term evolution of our game technology and development practices. You will work closely with Product, Game Design, Mathematics, and Platform teams to ensure Push Gaming continues to deliver industry-leading slot content at pace and quality.Location: remote/hybrid in UK or Poland.
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience.
What you’ll be doing:
Leading and scaling the game development team, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture.
Owning the overall game development strategy, roadmap, and technical vision across all client-side game teams.
Overseeing delivery of multiple game titles, ensuring quality, performance, and timelines.
Driving key technical and architectural decisions across the game codebase.
Collaborating closely with Game Mathematicians, Designers, QA, and Backend teams.
Mentoring senior developers and supporting hiring, development, and progression of the team.
Continuously improving development processes, tools, and best practices.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Significant experience in game development, including senior or leadership roles.
Strong software engineering background within games, iGaming.
Proven ability to lead teams and deliver complex technical projects.
Expert knowledge of Object-Oriented JavaScript / TypeScript and software architecture.
Experience with PixiJS, PhaserJS, or similar HTML5 game engines.
Experience implementing complex game mechanics, animations, and state-driven systems.
Familiarity with 2D animation tools such as Spine or similar.
Strong understanding of HTML5 Canvas, performance optimisation, and rendering concepts.
Experience working in Agile environments and with modern version control workflows.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
