IT Service Delivery Apprentice

As an IT Service Delivery Apprentice , you’ll gain hands-on experience in a busy, professional environment while completing your SCQF Level 6 Digital Helpdesk Support apprenticeship. You’ll work alongside experienced IT professionals, developing your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills while providing essential support to staff across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Service desk support - Assist and support the team with service desk incidents and service requests that are submitted by users via the Self-Service Portal. Provide clear and concise ticket notes in ITSM tool when creating, updating and resolving incidents. Ticket quality is imperative
- Knowledge articles - Review and assist with creation and upkeep of knowledge base articles to be consumed by the end user – with the objective of reducing calls by empowering colleagues to search knowledge base for guidance/process or procedures prior to engaging the Service Desk
- Hardware - Assist in the setup, installation and configuration of laptops, printers, and other IT equipment
- Projects - Provide support and guidance for any projects that require Service Desk involvement
- Assets - Work closely with the team to ensure that the IT Asset Database is always maintained and up to date
- JML (joiners/movers/leavers) – Assist the team with weekly Joiners/Movers and Leavers from the company. Ensure all tickets are actioned correctly in line with SOC controls
- General housekeeping – Ensure our Service Delivery department, build room and working area are free from clutter, with a clear desk policy in mind
- Communication and collaboration – Work professionally and closely with team members and wider business colleagues
- Stay informed about emerging IT trends and security standards

Salary: £16,000 per annum
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

They ensure you settle in, help you develop all the skills you need to be successful in your job role and pass your assessments, and can provide one to one support.
Starting with insights into your current potential, they plan your growth in a programmatic way, close skills gaps with immersive training and ensure what you learn is applicable to what you do. They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.
On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
