Role Overview

Our client’s leading Competition team is seeking an ambitious lawyer to join a high-profile practice at the forefront of EU and UK merger control and antitrust matters. Based in London and Brussels, the team is recognised across the market as a destination for clients facing their most business-critical competition challenges. Practice & Clients

The practice advises across the full spectrum of competition law, including merger control, antitrust investigations, cartel defence, and compliance. The team acts for a broad client base, from multinational corporates and global financial institutions to leading private equity sponsors. Recent matters have spanned sectors such as retail, energy, technology, consumer goods, transportation, and financial services, with clients including household-name multinationals and innovative disruptors. The group’s cross-border reach covers Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific.

Responsibilities

As an associate in the team, you will:

• Work and advise on major merger control filings before UK and EU regulators.
• Support on complex cartel and abuse of dominance investigations.
• Advise clients on compliance with UK and EU competition regimes.
• Engage in multi-jurisdictional projects coordinating with international counsel.
• Draft submissions, briefs, and strategy documents for high-stakes proceedings.

Candidate Profile

• Competition Law experience from a leading international law firm, the ideal candidate would have strong merger control experience.
• 4-8PQE E&W Qualified or candidates from Brussels.
