The opportunity
Working in the Integrated Mobility team at EY offers fantastic opportunities to develop client relationships early on in your career and to be involved in the day-to-day management of relationships and delivery of our services across a broad range of issues above and beyond tax compliance and advisory.
We are looking to grow our Mobility Services team with an Assistant Tax Adviser who can deliver high-quality services to our clients.
Your key responsibilities

- Supporting in the management of clients with inbound expatriates to the UK and UK outbounds.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients and providing consistently high levels of client service.
- Contributing to winning new work by proactively managing existing clients.
- Contributing to the day-to-day delivery of client services both tax compliance and advisory.
- Contributing to the successful delivery of mobility tax projects and ensuring technical excellence.
- Facilitating workflow to colleagues in the UK and our offshore compliance processing centre.
- Adhering to Quality and Risk Management processes.
- Being a trusted member of the team by developing yourself and others
Skills and attributes for success
- Prior experience as an expatriate tax practitioner is desirable, but not essential. Candidates with transferable skills and experience will be considered as will those looking for their first step into a career in Mobility.
- Enthusiastic and energetic; able to embrace new ways of working.
- Team player: ability to integrate with new teams quickly
- Outgoing with good relationship skills and the ability to deliver quality output
- Strong technical skills or keen to develop them
- Ability to build strong client relationships
- Project management skills, plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines, monitor own budget
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- ATT/CTA qualification desirable, however support can be offered to candidates seeking to study towards a professional qualification
- Ability to identify areas of risk, carry out an effective review and know when to refer upwards
- Client-focused and commercially aware
- Relationship management skills with the ability to manage client expectations
- Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically
- Excellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oral
- Essential proficieny in Japanese langauge
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Experience working within professional services or an ambition to build a career in professional services
