You will teach a broad English curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop their reading, writing, analytical and communication skills.

At KS3, you will introduce students to a wide range of literature, poetry, non-fiction and creative writing. At KS4, you will prepare students for GCSE English Language and Literature, developing their ability to analyse texts, construct detailed arguments and write accurately under examination conditions.

The successful candidate will be expected to create engaging lessons that encourage students to read critically and express their ideas with confidence. You will assess work regularly, provide meaningful feedback and adapt your teaching to meet the needs of individual learners.

• English Degree

• QTS or recognised teaching qualification

• Experience teaching English at secondary level

• Strong planning and assessment skills

Salary

The salary for this English Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
