Join a growing, purpose-driven outdoor brand as we bring performance marketing in-house, with strong opportunities for development, progression and future people-management experience.
Our mission & who we are...
SunGod was born in 2013 with a vision to create the world’s best performance eyewear. We see a better world through our lenses, through our actions and through doing business better.
Our planet is our playground, so we’re a community-built brand that’s sustainable to our core. With you, our mission is multiplied, and together we can See Better.
We’re a dynamic and expanding team. We’re results-driven and expect high-quality output from every team member. We’re unlike any company you’ve ever worked for before.
What is the job role?
We’re looking for a creative, proactive and detail-oriented Performance Marketing Manager to join our growing marketing team.
This role would suit a strong Senior Paid Media Executive, Senior Performance Marketing Executive or Paid Social Specialist who is ready to take the next step in their career.
You’ll help shape and deliver our paid social and search strategy, with hands-on responsibility for campaign execution, optimisation, reporting and creative testing. Your initial focus will be Meta and TikTok, with the opportunity to develop greater ownership of Google Ads, YouTube and new channels over time.
You’ll take hands-on responsibility for helping manage a seven-figure annual paid-media budget across Meta, Google and TikTok, with scope to grow your ownership as the in-house function develops.
This is not a traditional media-buying role. Alongside managing campaigns, you’ll analyse creative performance, identify customer insights and work with our Creative, Social and Partnerships teams to develop ideas, hooks and briefs that improve performance and strengthen the SunGod brand.
You’ll work closely with the Head of Performance Marketing and will be supported as you build broader channel, budget and strategic ownership. As the team grows, there may also be opportunities to support and line-manage a future junior hire.
Key Responsibilities
✓ Deliver and optimise campaigns: Build, launch and optimise paid-media campaigns across Meta and TikTok, while supporting Google Ads and YouTube as your experience develops.
✓ Manage performance: Help manage and pace a seven-figure annual paid-media budget, monitoring revenue, acquisition costs and efficiency, and making informed adjustments in line with forecasts and commercial goals.
✓ Develop performance creative: Analyse ad-level results, identify winning hooks and formats, and turn customer insights into creative concepts, briefs and test plans.
✓ Support full-funnel growth: Contribute to prospecting, remarketing, product launches and international growth activity.
✓ Report and recommend: Produce clear performance reporting and translate data into practical recommendations for future campaigns.
✓ Collaborate across teams: Work closely with Creative, Social, Partnerships and Ecom to deliver campaigns that support both brand and commercial objectives.
✓ Help build the function: Support the transition to an in-house performance marketing model, contribute to new processes and gradually take on greater ownership as the team develops.
✓ Understand SunGod’s triple bottom line of people, planet and profit, and reflect these principles in your work.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal person will have:
✓ Around three or more years of relevant paid-media experience, either in-house or agency-side.
✓ Strong hands-on experience building, launching and optimising campaigns in Meta Ads Manager.
✓ Experience interpreting performance data and making informed optimisation decisions.
✓ A good understanding of commercial KPIs, budgets and full-funnel marketing.
✓ A strong interest in creative, customer behaviour and performance-led content.
✓ Experience contributing to creative briefs, testing plans or campaign concepts.
✓ A proactive and organised working style, with strong attention to detail.
✓ Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
✓ The confidence to manage day-to-day activity independently while knowing when to ask for support.
✓ A desire to learn, take on greater responsibility and develop into broader channel and people management.
Additional experience that would be beneficial
✓ TikTok Ads, Google Ads or YouTube experience.
✓ Ecom or DTC experience.
✓ Experience working with creators, UGC or paid-partnership content.
✓ Basic video-editing skills using Edits, CapCut, Canva or similar tools.
✓ Familiarity with Shopify, GA4 or performance-reporting platforms.
Benefits
✓ Flexible working hours and hybrid working, with the opportunity to work from anywhere for three weeks per year
✓ 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
✓ Annual performance-based reviews and bonus scheme
✓ Professional training, life-skills and development budget
✓ Free mental-health support with unlimited access to Spill therapy
✓ Cycle to Work scheme and annual bike servicing
✓ HealthShield Cash Plan
✓ Monthly financial-health benefit
✓ 16 hours of fully paid volunteering annually
✓ Charitable donation matching
