This vibrant Islington school is seeking a History ECT. Our robust ECT support programme focuses on high-level pedagogy and stakeholder communication, helping you build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues in a fast-paced urban setting while exploring rigorous historical inquiry.
Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope
Critical Inquiry: Instructing History across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) only.
Source Analysis: Cultivating students' ability to analyze historical evidence and construct persuasive, evidence-based arguments.
Induction Focus: Evidence-gathering for the ECF through regular reflections and video-based peer review with your mentor.
Compensation & Benefits
Essential Requirements: Hold QTS. Degree in History or a related field.
Salary: Paid on the Teachers' Pay Scale with Inner London weighting.
Support: Weekly formal mentoring and a technology-forward Humanities department.
