Premises Manager
A successful Secondary School in the London Borough of Kingston upon Thames is seeking an experienced Premises Manager to lead the management of its school site on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive individual who takes pride in maintaining safe, secure and well-presented school facilities. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the school's premises, ensuring that buildings, grounds and facilities remain fully operational while providing an outstanding environment for students, staff and visitors.
You will manage the day-to-day operation of the premises team, coordinating planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, contractor management and site security. Working closely with the School Business Manager and Senior Leadership Team, you will ensure statutory inspections are completed on time and that the school remains fully compliant with health and safety legislation.
Responsibilities include supervising maintenance staff, monitoring contractor performance, managing maintenance schedules, coordinating servicing programmes, maintaining compliance records and overseeing premises budgets. You will also support future site improvement projects and identify opportunities to improve the school's facilities.
The role includes ensuring the site is prepared for examinations, performances, open evenings, sporting events and community lettings while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and presentation across the school.
The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, strong practical knowledge and previous experience managing premises within a school or similar environment.

Requirements
Previous Premises or Facilities Management experience
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation
Experience managing contractors and maintenance programmes
Excellent leadership and organisational skills
Good practical maintenance knowledge
Budget management experience desirable
Commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment
