Senior PMO Analyst
We’re looking for a Senior PMO Analyst (Grade9) to join our Portfolio Services team within the Technology department at Elexon on a permanent basis. In this role, you’ll provide senior PMO support across programmes and enterprise change initiatives , helping ensure consistent delivery standards, strong governance, and high-quality reporting across Elexon’s portfolio.
Acting both as a programme PMO generalist and enterprise subject matter expert , you’ll support delivery teams while owning a specific PMO discipline such as RAID management, planning, or lessons learned , driving continuous improvement across the organisation’s change portfolio.
What you’ll do:
Provide core PMO services to programmes , including plan assurance, RAID management, governance support, and delivery reporting
Ensure programme teams follow Elexon delivery methodologies, tools, and standards
Produce programme-level reporting and insights for governance forums and senior stakeholders
Proactively challenge and escalate delivery risks, issues, and deviations from plans or standards
Maintain accurate RAID logs, programme documentation, and reporting artefacts
Support Agile programme ceremonies , including retrospectives, PI Planning, and Inspect & Adapt events
Own a portfolio-level PMO discipline (e.g. RAID, planning, lessons learned), ensuring consistent application across all change initiatives
Act as a subject matter expert , driving best practice and continuous improvement across portfolio delivery
Analyse assurance data to identify delivery trends and improvement opportunities
Collaborate with PMO leadership to standardise processes, tools, and portfolio reporting
Support resource planning, estimation, and programme financial reporting across the portfolio
Help embed Agile delivery and portfolio management practices across programmes and teams
What you’ll bring:
Previous experience working in a PMO, programme support, or project delivery role within an Agile environment
Strong knowledge of programme governance, delivery assurance, and RAID management
Experience producing delivery reporting and programme insights for senior stakeholders
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across cross-functional teams
Experience supporting programme resource planning and financial tracking
Strong analytical capability to identify delivery risks, trends, and improvement opportunities
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools , particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience using project management or PPM tools (e.g. Microsoft Project)
Ability to work independently while supporting complex programme environments
Experience working in regulated sectors such as utilities or energy (desirable)
Knowledge of P3O, SAFe, PRINCE2 Agile, or other Agile frameworks (desirable)
Experience with Power BI or data visualisation tools (desirable)
