Banding: Equivalent to Band 7–8a (depending on experience)

Salary: £47,810 – £63,176 per annum (pro rata)
Working Hours: Part-time – 3 days per week
Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join a highly specialist Autism-focused school in Cricklewood, London . This setting supports pupils aged 7 to 16 years with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated conditions who have struggled to access education in both mainstream and other specialist settings.
The school offers a fully integrated therapeutic approach to education, providing a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes emotional well-being, communication, and academic growth.
This role is ideally suited to a therapist with experience in SEN schools , particularly working with children with ASC , who is looking to make a meaningful difference in a part-time role (3 days per week).
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Assess, diagnose, and manage a caseload of pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) , often alongside Autism and other co-occurring conditions.
Develop and deliver individualised therapy plans , in collaboration with educational and clinical colleagues.
Provide both direct and indirect therapy , including staff training and support to embed communication strategies across the school day.
Work closely with parents/carers and contribute to EHCP reviews and multi-disciplinary team meetings .
Maintain clear and accurate clinical documentation , following best practice and safeguarding protocols.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, you will need:
A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
Current HCPC registration and eligibility for RCSLT membership .
Previous experience working in SEN school settings , ideally with a focus on ASC .
A strong understanding of neurodiversity and the importance of integrated therapeutic approaches in education.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills .
