KS2 Teacher - Northwood
We are seeking a passionate, motivated, and experienced KS2 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Northwood, starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys teaching Upper Key Stage 2 and is committed to delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.

The Role
As a KS2 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum, ensuring every pupil is supported to achieve their full potential. You will encourage independence, resilience, and a love of learning while tailoring teaching to meet the diverse needs of pupils, including those with SEND and EAL. Collaboration with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents will ensure consistent, high-quality support.
You will also monitor pupil progress, provide interventions where necessary, and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across KS2
Deliver high-quality literacy, numeracy, and foundation subject teaching
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL
Promote independence, resilience, and positive behaviour
Maintain a structured, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders
Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and school initiatives
Support enrichment activities, school events, and extra-curricular opportunities
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2
Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
Be reflective, adaptable, and proactive
Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing
Work collaboratively as part of a professional and supportive team
