Junior Customer Insight Analyst (12month FTC)

Role Overview

With a rapidly growing loyalty programme and constant drive to deliver personalised customer experiences across all retail channels, we are looking for a Junior Customer Insight Analyst to be a part of our Customer Insights team at SpaceNK on a 12M Fixed Term Contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with limited industry or placement experience looking to progress their career as an Analyst in the thriving beauty retail sector.

The Junior Customer Insight Analyst will carry out in-depth analysis of customer behaviour to provide actionable insights and recommendations in a digestible format to a wide range of stakeholders. This role will help the CRM team provide insights to both the business and external brand partners (through our data sharing programme).

As a business underpinned by robust analysis and an established test and learn cycle, you will be a key contributor to key business decisions. You will have strong commercial acumen and your work will be digested by a wide audience, both from within the CRM team as well as other stakeholders from across the wider business and external brand partners.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Generate insights and recommend actions that help to retain our customers

• Ownership of campaign reporting for data sharing programme

• Work closely with the Senior Customer Insight Analyst to deliver action-orientated insights to the business and our brand partners within the data sharing programme

• Analysis of our CRM campaigns across all marketing channels including the post campaign analysis to ensure ROI on activity

• Continuously improve existing reporting methods within the Space NK business using data visualisation and advanced techniques in SQL, Microsoft Excel and the provision of QlikSense dashboards.

• Present engaging insights and recommendations to all levels of the business

Experience Required

• A degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics or related field

• Previous analytical experience gained either through a degree placement or other analytical role desired

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information

• Strong IT and analytical software skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, Index match etc.)

• Experience of programming languages, ideally SQL

• Experience of using data visualisation software is preferable but not essential (e.g. Qlik Sense, Tableau)

• Strong presentation skills and experience in generating and sharing meaningful customer insights across business categories and to multiple stakeholders to drive business decisions and trading plans

• A curious, analytical, problem-solving mindset, able to quickly make sense of a complex data environment involving multiple brands and territories.

• Great technical knowledge with the ability to pick up working with new platforms is essential

• A clear, concise communicator with confidence to present and influence stakeholders

• Present your analysis in a way that is accessible for both technical and non-technical audiences, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions

• The ability to focus on the detail, but also grasp the bigger picture

• Versatile with the ability to apply a broad skill-set to a range of applications

• A solid understanding of the drivers behind retail and e-commerce businesses and the core values within a luxury brand

• Proactive with a ‘can do’ attitude

• High level of numeracy and attention to detail

• Excellent personal and organisational skills
