Senior Manager, R&D Tax (Software Technology) - UK Wide
Our client, a leading professional services firm, is seeking a talented R&D Tax Senior Manager with a strong background in software technology to join their dynamic team. As an R&D Tax Senior Manager, you will:
* Lead and Manage: Develop and prepare R&D tax relief claims for HMRC submission, ensuring accountability for your work and your team's output.
* Engage with Clients: Lead meetings with senior IT and financial client stakeholders, providing expert advice on innovation advisory services including R&D, Patent Box, and Grant Applications.
* Oversee Projects: Manage the preparation of technical and financial client deliverables, ensuring accurate documentation and quantification of R&D claims.
* Solve Problems: Apply complex legislation to real-life situations, offering excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
* Develop Talent: Coach and develop junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
* Drive Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, delivering comprehensive proposals and participating in client pitches.
* Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, HMRC specialists, and internal networks within the wider tax practice.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Educational Background: Honours/Post Graduate Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
* Technical Expertise: Detailed knowledge of R&D tax legislation as it applies to IT activities, along with significant industry experience.
* Communication Skills: Ability to lead technical discussions and explain complex legislative concepts to non-tax professionals.
* Documentation Proficiency: Skilled in producing high-quality reports and professional documentation for C-suite stakeholders.
* Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage projects, workloads, and delegate tasks effectively.
* Additional Qualifications: Tax and accounting qualifications (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA) are advantageous but not essential.
