Role Summary

A highly inclusive and nurturing primary school located in Walthamstow, East London , is seeking a compassionate and reliable Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join their dedicated support team. Support is provided on a 1:1 basis and within small groups , both inside and outside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your duties will include:

• Providing tailored 1:1 support for pupils with SEN

• Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management

• Helping pupils access the curriculum through differentiated support

• Working collaboratively with class teachers and the SENCO

• Implementing strategies from EHCPs and individual support plans

• Supporting pupils during transitions, break times, and lunch

• Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive self-esteem

• Monitoring and recording pupil progress

• Supporting personal care needs when required

• Upholding safeguarding and wellbeing policies
