Business Development Manager - Events
About this role
My client is looking for a Business Development Manager to take ownership of driving new business across two of London’s most prestigious venues.
The existing sales team is strong at managing incoming enquiries, but this role is about being proactive — going out to market, creating opportunities, and securing both corporate and commercial event bookings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with agencies, corporate clients, and direct bookers.
- Preparing tailored proposals and confidently pitching to clients.
- Representing the venues at networking events, trade shows, and industry functions.
- Working closely with the reactive sales team to maximise conversion and deliver a seamless client experience.
About You
- Solid experience in business development, ideally within events, hospitality, or venue sales.
- Proactive, driven, and motivated by hitting and exceeding targets.
- Confident communicator with strong presentation and negotiation skills.
- Natural networker with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Organised and adaptable, able to manage a busy pipeline.
- Passionate about delivering excellent client experiences.
