An outstanding-feel Independent School in Southwark seeks a committed and creative Year 1 Teacher to join its Key Stage 1 team from January 2026. Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities
The Year 1 Teacher will plan and deliver high-quality systematic phonics, guided reading, early writing units and practical maths. The Year 1 Teacher will assess progress, run targeted small-group work and report to parents. The Year 1 Teacher will contribute to phase moderation and lead enrichment activities; the Year 1 Teacher will participate in planning before January 2026 and teach from January 2026.
Year 1 Teacher Requirements
We seek a reflective Year 1 Teacher with QTS and recent KS1 experience. The Year 1 Teacher should be confident with phonics delivery, strong behaviour routines and inclusive practice. The Year 1 Teacher must be available for pre-term planning and induction ahead of January 2026, ready to start teaching in the Independent School from January 2026.
