Head Housekeeper
Location : Mayfair, London
Salary : £60,000 gross per annum

Schedule :
- When the family are not in residence: Monday 8am–5pm, Tuesday–Thursday 8am–4pm, Friday & Saturday off, Sunday 9am–6pm
- When the family are in residence: 6 days per week (Saturday off), flexible hours
Our client is seeking an experienced and professional Head Housekeeper for their VIP residence in Mayfair. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring excellent housekeeping standards, strong organisational ability, and team management experience.
Reporting to the House Manager, the Head Housekeeper will oversee daily operations within the property, ensuring immaculate presentation at all times, whilst also supporting wider household functions when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a small housekeeping team, managing rotas, duties, and performance.
- Ensure the property is maintained to exceptionally high standards at all times.
- Oversee laundry and linen care, checking stock levels and ordering supplies when needed.
- Carry out hands-on housekeeping and assist the team during busy periods.
- Care for special finishes such as marble, silver, glass, and fine fabrics.
- Liaise with the House Manager and Chef, assisting with light breakfast preparation and occasional service.
- Manage property-related deliveries, inventories, and maintenance reporting.
- Support pre-arrival preparations for family visits.
Candidate Requirements:
- Female only due to cultural reasons.
- Previous experience as a Head or Senior Housekeeper in a UHNW private household or 5-star hotel.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a calm, positive approach.
- Excellent knowledge of housekeeping standards, cleaning methods, and laundry care.
- Flexible, proactive, and organised, with great attention to detail.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using digital systems for reporting and scheduling.
- Smart, polished appearance and warm, professional demeanour.
