Horizon Teachers is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Southwark. This is a full-time, long-term position starting in September, working across Years 7 to 11 with students who have a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties. This role is perfect for someone considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, or SEND support.

The Role:

Provide in-class support to students with additional needs across a range of subjects
Work one-to-one and in small groups to help students access the curriculum
Support pupils in managing their behaviour, engagement, and confidence
Collaborate with teaching staff and the SEND department to implement personalised support strategies
Gain valuable experience in a dynamic and inclusive school setting
About You:

A recent graduate (any relevant subject) with a strong interest in education
Experience working with young people or individuals with additional needs is desirable
Confident, patient, and enthusiastic
A genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of students
DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
