HR Advisor

Your new role

• Onboarding & Integration: Coordinate all aspects of the new joiner experience, partnering with HR Coordinators to ensure smooth inductions and probation reviews.
• Immigration & Compliance: Manage visa processes and right-to-work checks, maintaining adherence to migrant worker obligations.
• Secondments & Mobility: Oversee client and inter-office secondments, including drafting agreements and managing logistics.
• Employee Relations: Provide expert guidance on disciplinary cases, investigations, grievances, performance issues, and redundancy processes.
• Absence Management: Monitor sickness absence, issue notifications, arrange occupational health referrals, and support return-to-work planning.
• Policy & Advisory Support: Act as a trusted advisor on HR policies, procedures, and employment law, promoting best practice across the business.
• Parental Leave & Flexible Working: Administer maternity, paternity, and shared parental leave, including KIT days and transition coaching. Manage flexible working requests in line with policy.
• Payroll Coordination: Prepare accurate monthly payroll data and liaise with the payroll team on any changes or updates.
• Benefits & HR Systems: Support benefit rollouts and communications. Collaborate with global colleagues to optimise HRIS (Workday) functionality and reporting.
• Compensation Reviews: Assist the Senior HR Manager with annual salary and bonus review processes.
• Employee Engagement: Conduct exit interviews, maintain HR intranet content, and ensure timely responses to HR queries.
• Projects & Initiatives: Contribute to ad hoc projects such as benchmarking, research, and change management.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven HR generalist experience within a professional services environment (legal sector preferred).
• Strong advisory and influencing skills with the confidence to challenge constructively.
• CIPD qualified (or equivalent).
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and HR systems; experience with Workday is advantageous.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-motivated, resilient, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
