Year 2 Teacher - Merton
A welcoming primary in Merton is recruiting a skilled Year 2 Teacher to commence January 2026. The successful Year 2 Teacher will plan a sequenced Year 2 curriculum, lead assessment for end-of-key-stage outcomes and deliver targeted interventions. The Year 2 Teacher will take responsibility for securing strong progress across reading, writing and maths, and will consult with parents and colleagues to ensure each child achieves. This Year 2 Teacher role in Merton offers high-quality TAs, clear leadership and strong CPD.
• Year 2 Teacher required to work on a full-time position
• Year 2 Teacher required to work within a school in Merton
• Year 2 Teacher to join an experienced and supportive KS1 team
The Year 2 Teacher will be expected to: lead phonics reinforcement, implement formative assessment strategies, run booster groups and communicate progress to parents. The Year 2 Teacher will work within the KS1 team to plan cross-curricular projects and support transition into Key Stage 2. The appointment starts January 2026, and the Year 2 Teacher will be involved in curriculum planning from January 2026.
